ANM Weekend Inspiration

Rake’s, a place to escape the city, is a day to night eating and drinking destination opening today. Located next to Liverpool Street Station and on the cusp of East London, this café bar will feature a lounge area, private dining room and a pergola adorned main space.

Open 7 days a week, Rake’s will offer simple and comforting food alongside fantastic coffee and a specially crafted cocktail menu of modern and classic concoctions. Guests can snack, eat and drink throughout the day and will be hosted by a team of individual characters, all with a love of wine, food and cocktails  – There is no formality, no rules.

Contemporary art illustrating the new ‘Rake’s Progress’ adorns the walls, the series of pieces depict the personality of a modern day Rake, a ‘raisehell,’ individualistic in outlook, and encyclopedic in taste.

Cocktails take inspiration from, and are named after, the world famous series of 8 paintings by William Hogarth, ‘The Rake’s Progress’ – a fictional story of the rise and fall of Tom Rakewell. Much like the modern day Rake, these cocktails are crafted with one or two fine ingredients and expertly mixed…with a twist!

Rake’s will house three relaxed spaces, each with a touch of the peculiar; The Front Room – location of the main café bar and home to varying DJs from Thursday to Saturday nights. The Parlour – the lounge area complete with sofas, a place to relax and escape the City and finally No.3 – a secret room that can be closed off and booked for private parties.
