Online Learning For Art Lovers Everywhere By London Art Studies
London Art Studies helps people learn about art, in the easiest way possible. Their newly-launched series of specialist online courses are quick, fun to watch and easy to access wherever you are in the world.
They have set up the first online arts education subscription platform, where members pay a monthly or annual fee to access short videos (3-8 minutes each). Videos provide expert and approachable teaching; lecturers explore the world’s greatest artworks from artists such as Rembrandt and Raphael through to Gerhard Richter, Wangechi Mutu and Yoko Ono.
London Art Studies was founded in 2011. From courses at The Berkeley, the Bulgari Hotel, the Connaught plus numerous bespoke courses and corporate work, London Art Studies has now expanded to online education.
“We believe that a great piece of art should move you in some way, and leave you a little bit changed. We also believe that learning about art will change the way you look at the world. For centuries, people have fought to create art. LAS will help you to understand why,” comments Kate Gordon, Founder and CEO of London Art Studies.
There are 100+ short films on the website within the following series: ‘Great Works’, ‘My Virtual Museum’, ‘Women Artists’, ‘Art & The City’, ‘Modern Masters’, ‘The Nude in Art’, ‘The Art of Colour’ and ‘The Five Things You Need to Know About…’
